This was a day to meet other environmentally responsible citizens. Many showed up for this event to make efforts to improve our environment. There were opportunities to learn from local educators who showed us how we can make small, yet significant changes to our lifestyles in hopes to improve our environment.
The Carolina Nature Coalition had a tent. We displayed and explained backyard composting. We also reinforced recycling of "wrap" which can be returned to Publix or Harris Teeter. There were also small solar devices such as phone chargers and flashlights.
