The Carolina Nature Coalition presented a comprehensive look at the ground water in Eastern North Carolina and the source of our drinking water here in Craven County.
Ground Water Management Associates, led by Dr. Richard Spruill, retired professor at East Carolina University, was the presenter.
The program consisted of a look at the dynamics of the aquifers lying beneath our feet. Ground water is fascinating. Our experienced presenter discussed the recent changes to the source of our drinking water and the potential threats to the source can occur.
This was a highly informative program led by expert. Approximately 30 Craven County residents attended. They were able to ask questions and leave with a better understanding about the history of water in our area and more about our water source today. Water the “key to life”.
