About The Event
Let's learn more about seismic blasting and what you can do to be a part of the movement to protect our coast by attending a free screening of the documentary Sonic Sea.
Sonic Sea is about protecting life in our waters from the destructive effects of oceanic noise pollution, and this will be happening off of our beautiful coast here in Eastern North Carolina.
Seismic air gun blasting, the first step big oil uses to determine where to drill, remains a real threat to marine mammals and fish populations. There is a need for broad education on this issue to ensure that all North Carolina residents understand the dangers posed by seismic blasting and join the call in urging the Trump Administration to stop plans for issuing permits to drilling companies.
