About The Event
Want to see a real pirate?
The Carolina Nature Coalition will be hosting the “Litter
Pirate”
Paul S Schernitzki, a.k.a. The Litter Pirate, is an educator and founder of Litter Pirate
LLC. As a long-time litter picker, teacher, public speaker, and storyteller.
Paul developed an imaginative and engaging school assembly for young students, teaching
(in full litter pirate costume) the effects of litter on the community and environment.
While Paul focuses on litter, an important part of his message is to reach the younger
generation in order to change behaviors about litter and the environment.
Join us to learn about his message.
Head on over to litterpirate.com to see more about Litter Pirate programs and to check
out the Crystal Coast Litter Pick Calendar to view upcoming volunteer litter picks
happening in the Litter Pirate lands of Eastern North Carolina. You can find @litterpirate
on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Apple Podcasts.
In his tiny bit of free time Paul enjoys photography, videography, playing the piano,
kayaking, sailing, and spending time with his wife Amber and his rescue pets—Matthew,
Jane, Margot, and Eleanor.
