Craven County Ranger, Greg Riggs, from the NC Forest Service, will lead a walk in a Craven County forest. Specifically, there will be a focus on a recent burned prescribed fire in the forest.
Prescribed fire is a forest management tool used to maintain the health of the forest ecosystem. We will see the process and discussed the difference between good fire and bad fire.
